Our Story
Rickey’s Ribshack BBQ was born over 30 years ago when owner Rickey Handley worked tirelessly to develop his own unique blend of spices that comprise his rib sauce, rib rub, and smokey barbecue sauce. He did so out of his home kitchen—much to the frustration of his wife!—while working as a painter and carpenter by day. Since perfecting his recipes all those years ago, he’s been behind the counter serving up fall-off-the-bone ribs and tender brisket. Rickey still does all the cooking, and you can find his daughters and longtime family friend carving up brisket and providing lightning-fast service with smiles and quick quips for locals and travelers alike.
